This two-storey building was constructed using concrete tilt panels. It houses eight (8) beauty consultation rooms on both floors.
Insulated tilt panels were used to construct the building to achieve the required green star rating. Whilst the building is small, construction using tilt panels on such a constrained/ small project, provided a number challenges in all structural elements throughout the construction process including craning, propping and back propping.
Innovative use of tilt panel propping was required to allow the first floor to be cast and in-situ using a bondek permanent form work system. Second floor tilt panels involved a lot of care in casting panels to ensure accuracy and tolerances were effectively dealt with.
