Trade Training facility included plumbing workshops, welding bays, metal work machinery, classrooms, civil works and facilities. everything an aspiring young trade’s person requires.
On a complexly tiered site with numerous trade specific entry points, the main structural elements to this project included the following. Concrete tilt panels, structural steel, numerous brickwork types and finishes. This required a vast knowledge across all trades for co-ordination and finishes from the outset, as these structural elements extend through into the main spaces of the build to maintain the industrial appearance to inturn allow a robust yet architecturally pleasing finish. To then progress to the entry, staff and teacher spaces with more smoother, softer finishes. This required an acute attention to detail for an elegant welcoming finish. A high level of workmanship was required in this project due to its wide variety of finishes, both raw and applied.
