Smith Constructions was founded in 1972 by brothers Brian & Trevor Smith, who initially commenced business building houses predominately in the Bunbury & Southwest region.  Over the years the company progressed from housing and unit developments into the commercial and civil construction sectors.

During the 32 years that Brian & Trevor worked as a close-knit team, they successfully completed many projects for clients as well as their own fully functioning joinery shop and became widely respected throughout the region, winning many housing building excellence awards as testimony to their dedication, hard work, integrity and ability as builders and tradespersons. ​

In 2005 with the passing of Brian and retirement of Trevor, a generational handover of the company to Trevor’s son Hayden commenced and with Trevor maintaining a strong and welcomed presence in the workshop and office, he was able to provide invaluable support and mentoring to Hayden as well as catch up with the Smith Constructions team for a chat and some friendly banter. 

In retirement, Trevor continued to wear the company uniform and took great pride and satisfaction in assisting his old clients with all their building needs while at the same time serving the Bunbury community as a highly respected Bunbury City Councillor. 

Sadly Trevor passed away in July 2021, however his legacy and love of carpentry and construction has left an indelible impression upon all members of Smith Constructions including/especially each of his Grandsons. 

Under Hayden’s guidance since 2005 Smith Constructions has continued to grow and evolve into a medium-sized commercial building company with the capability to deliver multiple construction contracts across a vast geographical region at any one time.
